Huang Yulin: International Martial Arts Promoter & Tai Chi Master —
拳风起落间，国际武术优秀推广者，国强太极循道文化全球行太极导师，太极名家黄玉林用半生时光诠释了中华武术的传承与创新。从贵州兴仁市到贵州兴义市，从视频自学到国际赛场，他以一招一式架起文化桥梁，用太极精神点亮无数人的生命之光。
In the rise and fall of his Tai Chi movements, Huang Yulin—an International Martial Arts Promoter, Tai Chi Master, and Global Tai Chi Mentor for the Guoqiang Tai Chi Dao Culture Worldwide Initiative—has spent half a lifetime embodying the inheritance and innovation of Chinese martial arts. From Xingren City to Xingyi City in Guizhou Province, from self-teaching via videos to competing on international stages, he has built cultural bridges through every posture and movement, illuminating countless lives with the spirit of Tai Chi.
Huang Yulin, born in October 1956 with ancestral roots in Jiangxi Province, now resides in Xingyi City, Qianxinan Prefecture, Guizhou Province. As a 7th Dan in International Martial Arts and First-Class International Martial Arts Coach, he previously served as President of the Xingren City Tai Chi Association and currently holds honorary roles as Vice President of the Qianxinan Prefecture Martial Arts Association and Vice President of the Qianxinan Prefecture Tai Chi Association. He is also the founder and head coach of the Guoqiang Tai Chi Academy Xingyi Teaching Base. Despite being unable to pursue martial arts in his youth due to historical constraints, Huang began self-learning Tai Chi through videos in 2008. His life transformed in 2014 when he met renowned martial arts master Li Guoqiang, under whose guidance he systematically mastered Tai Chi’s essence. That same year, he founded the Xingren City Tai Chi Association, teaching over 500 students and extending his classes to rehabilitation centers, courts, and public security systems.
赛场十年磨一剑，黄玉林以精湛实力屡攀高峰：
2016年取得“全国太极拳公开赛”太极拳、太极剑一等奖；
2017年取得“三亚世界交流大赛”太极剑一等奖、太极拳二等奖；
2020年取得“迪拜网络比赛”太极拳、太极剑、太极刀一等奖；
2024年取得“广东省第四届太极拳交流大会”太极拳、太极剑、太极刀一等奖等，并被李正、马春喜 、刘善民、杨志芳、李国强等大师联名推荐，获得“太极名家”称号。
2024“国强杯”香港国际武术网络比赛荣获男子E组一等奖；他所带领的清华缘太极队荣获两个集体一等奖，并获得“国际武术优秀推广者”和“国际武术优秀推广团队”的荣誉称号。
A Decade of Competitive Excellence
Huang’s mastery has earned him countless accolades:
- 2016: Double gold in Tai Chi and Tai Chi Sword at the National Tai Chi Open Championship.
- 2017: Gold in Tai Chi Sword and silver in Tai Chi at the Sanya World Exchange Championship.
- 2020: Triple gold in Tai Chi, Tai Chi Sword, and Tai Chi Broadsword at the Dubai Online Martial Arts Competition.
- 2024: Triple gold in Tai Chi, Tai Chi Sword, and Tai Chi Broadsword at the 4th Guangdong Tai Chi Exchange Conference, alongside the prestigious "Tai Chi Master" title endorsed by grandmasters Li Zheng, Ma Chunxi, Liu Shanmin, Yang Zhifang, and Li Guoqiang.
- 2024: First prize in Men’s Group E at the Guoqiang Cup Hong Kong International Online Martial Arts Championship, with his Qinghua Yuan Tai Chi Team winning two group golds and honors as "International Martial Arts Outstanding Promoter" and "Outstanding International Martial Arts Promotion Team".
2018年迁居贵州兴义市后，他组建清华缘太极队并独创"队委会管理模式"，并创办了国强太极院贵州兴义教学基地，累计培养500余名学员，数十年如一日，他坚持公益教学，将太极课堂开进社区、公园。2024年，清华缘太极队荣获"国际武术优秀推广团队"，印证了他"以团队力量传播文化"的初心。
After relocating to Xingyi City in 2018, Huang founded the Qinghua Yuan Tai Chi Team and pioneered a unique "Team Committee Management Model." He established the Guoqiang Tai Chi Academy Xingyi Teaching Base, training over 500 students. For decades, he has offered free community and park-based classes, cementing Tai Chi’s role in public wellness. In 2024, his team’s "Outstanding International Martial Arts Promotion Team" award affirmed his vision of "spreading culture through collective strength."
Rising from grassroots association president to international Tai Chi mentor, Huang lives by the philosophy of "teaching others to fish." His students include national champions and community instructors. Yet, he values "the vitality in every student" above accolades: "Tai Chi is not just martial arts—it’s the wisdom of Chinese life. I want more people to decode this cultural treasure."
Nearing 70, Huang remains active on the training grounds. A single "White Crane Spreads Its Wings" posture radiates his devotion to tradition. "As long as I can move," he vows, "I will keep passing on the torch of Tai Chi." This torch now lights the path for traditional martial arts to illuminate the world.
