游道长出生于燕赵大地，祖籍太行山东麓晋州，武术世家，书香门第，游氏家族世代信奉道教，早年拜武当道教王通圣真人（中国道教协会副会长、武当山道教协会会长）及武当派第十三代南宗掌门人王通和为师，师赐武当太极道人—玄德，号玉京子。

八十年代末，游玄德道长应邀请率“武当道教文化代表团”先后出访台湾、香港、新加坡及东南亚讲学访问，影响较大，并在【中华武林界】第一个率“武当功夫团”出访 意大利、法国、德国、西班牙、瑞士、加拿大、美国等欧、美众多国家，被欧、美洋弟子尊为“第一个把武当功夫带出国门、走向世界的当代 ‘李小龙’”；

游玄德道长是中华道教界在欧、美国家讲学布道最具影响力的道学大宗师，被【欧洲学术界】誉为“世界道教文化传播大使”，并被聘任为“罗马大学建筑风水学导师”、“ 卡利亚里大学东方哲学客座教授”、“ 北京大学武术协会顾问”。

Master You Xuande (游玄德)

Master You Xuande is one of the globally influential leaders in Chinese Taoism, the 14th-generation headmaster of the Wudang Sect, an internationally renowned martial artist, inheritor of Wudang martial arts intangible cultural heritage, and a celebrated Chinese expert in Taoist internal alchemy, connoisseur of calligraphy and painting, collector, and patriotic poet.

Master You was born in the Hebei region, with ancestral roots in Jinzhou at the eastern foothills of the Taihang Mountains. Hailing from a martial arts family and scholarly household, the You family has adhered to Taoism for generations. In his early years, he became a disciple of Wudang Taoist master Wang Tongsheng (Vice President of the Chinese Taoist Association and President of the Wudang Mountain Taoist Association) and Wang Tonghe, the 13th-generation Southern Lineage headmaster of the Wudang Sect. His masters bestowed upon him the Taoist name "Xuande" (武当太极道人) and the title "Yujingzi" (玉京子).

In the late 1980s, Master You Xuande led the "Wudang Taoist Cultural Delegation" on lecture tours to Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Southeast Asia, generating significant impact. He became the first in the Chinese martial arts community to lead a "Wudang Kung Fu Troupe" to visit numerous European and American countries including Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Canada, and the United States. Western disciples honored him as "the contemporary 'Bruce Lee' who first brought Wudang Kung Fu beyond China's borders to the world."

Master You Xuande is the most influential Taoist master from Chinese Taoism lecturing and preaching in European and American nations. Hailed by the European academic community as the "Ambassador of World Taoist Culture," he has been appointed as "Feng Shui Tutor at Sapienza University of Rome," "Visiting Professor of Eastern Philosophy at the University of Cagliari," and "Martial Arts Advisor to Peking University."
